Statistical Briefing Book Offers Data Snapshot on Trends in Youth Arrests
OJJDP has updated its Statistical Briefing Book with a new Data Snapshot that shows the decline of youth arrests through 2020. The snapshot draws on national arrest estimates from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program. The data show the number of arrests involving youth fell 84 percent between 1996 and 2020.
