This initiative will support states to close youth correctional facilities, assess and respond to the impact of closures on facility staff and the surrounding communities, and reinvest state and local resources to support more effective community-based services and supports for justice-involved youth and their families.

Pursuant to Title II, Part B, of the JJDP Act (34 U.S.C. §§ 11131–11133), to receive formula grants, states must submit a plan for carrying out Formula Grants Program activities applicable to a 3-year period. This announcement sets out the requirements for Year 2 of the 3-Year State Plan covering fiscal years 2021 to 2023.

This solicitation will support high-quality arts programs for justice-involved youth to reduce juvenile delinquency, recidivism, and/or other problem and high-risk behaviors. Arts programs include but are not limited to painting, sculpting, drama, digital media, film, music, dance, singing, and creative writing.

This program will support states' implementation of innovative and/or research-based, data-informed recidivism-reduction policies, practices, and programs across multiple juvenile justice system components and disciplines.

OJJDP seeks a training and technical assistance provider to establish a regional network of partnerships to develop and support strategies that will support Alaska Native youth's cultural needs.

The program supports targeted efforts to address youth violence through implementing evidence-based prevention and intervention efforts in a school-based setting (K–12th grade only). The goals of the program are to: (1) reduce the incidence of school violence through improved school safety and climate and (2) prevent youth violence, delinquency, and victimization in the targeted community.

This program provides training and technical assistance to juvenile justice practitioners to assist them in meeting the needs of justice-involved LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit youth to ensure that contact with the juvenile justice system is rare, fair and beneficial.

This program provides funding to states, local, and Tribal organizations to improve emergency planning and management strategies in juvenile justice residential facilities.

This program supports states and communities as they develop and implement effective alternative sentencing programs for parents/primary caregivers in the criminal justice system to improve child, parent, and family outcomes.

This solicitation provides funding to communities to develop intervention and supervision services for youth with problematic or illegal sexual behavior, and to provide treatment services for their victims and families/caregivers.

This program will fund training and technical assistance to states, state and local courts, units of local government, and governments that will build their capacity to develop, maintain, and enhance drug courts for individuals who misuse substances or have substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health disorders.

This program will support the efforts of states, communities, jurisdictions, nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education to implement programs and strategies that identify, respond to, treat, and support children, youth, and families impacted by the opioid epidemic, and other substance use disorders, to ensure public safety.

This program supports the implementation and delivery of mentoring services to youth populations that are at risk or high risk for juvenile delinquency, victimization, and juvenile justice system involvement.

This program seeks to build the capacity of states, state and local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Tribal governments to implement new and innovative approaches to enhance existing juvenile drug treatment courts and improve outcomes for youth with substance use or co-occurring mental health disorders, including histories of trauma.

The OJJDP Family Treatment Court Program seeks to build the capacity of local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Tribal governments to establish new family treatment courts or enhance existing family treatment courts.

This solicitation provides funding for communities to develop coordinated and comprehensive community-based approaches to assist children and their families who are exposed to violence build resilience and prevent future juvenile violence and delinquency.

This solicitation provides funding for communities to support girls who are involved in the juvenile justice system.

This solicitation provides funding for applicant organizations to enhance and expand mentoring services for children and youth impacted by opioids and other drug misuse.

This program furthers the Department of Justice's mission by reducing recidivism among youth returning to their communities following confinement and under community supervision, while promoting the fair administration of justice and advancing public safety.

This program will provide funding to support states and units of local government to develop programs within detention or correctional facilities to respond to the needs of incarcerated parents who have children younger than age 18.

This Tribal Children's Advocacy Centers Training and Technical Assistance program will focus on supporting federally recognized Tribes and Alaska Native communities to improve investigative responses and treatment services for victims of child abuse and their families.

The goal of this program is to ensure that youth involved in the juvenile justice system have access to high-quality legal representation and access to resources that address the collateral consequences of justice system involvement.

Through this opportunity, OJJDP seeks applications to support projects for funding in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022 (Public Law 117-103) that improve the functioning of the criminal justice system, prevent or combat juvenile delinquency, and assist victims of crime (other than compensation).

The goal of this program is to increase the technological investigative capacity and associated training of law enforcement, prosecutors, and other professionals nationwide to combat child sexual abuse material and online child sexual exploitation, including cases of child sex trafficking.

This program will fund a national training and technical assistance program for attorneys who are involved in the criminal prosecution of child abuse to enhance the effectiveness of the investigation and prosecution of such crimes.
