This program provides funds to support emergency planning for state, local, and Tribal juvenile justice residential facilities. Funds may be used to restore essential services and operations. For the purposes of this solicitation, emergency is defined as an incident—natural, technological, or manmade—that requires a response to protect life, property, or the environment. In general, funds may be used to cover costs associated with ensuring that the facility is prepared to maintain efficient continuation of operations to reduce risk to the facility, and to ensure the safety and well-being of youth and staff in juvenile justice residential facilities.
