Technical assistance resources

The Midwest Regional Children's Advocacy Center's mission is to improve the community response to child abuse through strategic leadership, collaboration, and capacity building.

Under this project, the National Children's Advocacy Center provides training opportunities, technical assistance, publications, and resources for child abuse response professionals.

OJJDP’s National Training and Technical Assistance Center serves as the principal coordinator, broker, and facilitator for all of OJJDP’s training and technical assistance resources and services.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children® provides virtual learning, in-person training, case support, publications, community engagement, and prevention education programs.

Through this program, the National Children's Alliance will increase the number of children advocacy center programs serving child victims of abuse, with an emphasis on reaching underserved areas (rural, remote, and Tribal) and populations (American Indian, Alaska Native, and Hispanic communities, and military families).

This program provides clinical training on evidence-based treatment including problematic sexual behavior and cognitive behavior therapy for military installations.

This program provides training and technical assistance using evidence-based practices used to address youth violence and victimization, violence reduction, delinquency prevention, and accountability.

This program furthers the department's mission by providing grants and cooperative agreements for TTA to organizations that OJJDP designates. 

The Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center will provide training and technical assistance and web-based resources to develop and strengthen children’s advocacy centers and multidisciplinary teams in the 13 states of the region.

The National Center on the Sexual Behavior of Youth provides training and technical assistance for the Youth with Problematic Sexual Behavior Program.

Through this program, NCA will increase the number of children's advocacy center programs serving child/youth victims of sex trafficking and child pornography, with an emphasis on those involved in federal cases through our memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the FBI.

This project provides assistance to prosecutors, state and local law enforcement, and other child-serving professionals to strengthen multidisciplinary team responses to missing and exploited children's issues.

The National Native Children's Trauma Center provides training and technical assistance for the expansion of child advocacy centers to improve access and services to American Indian and Alaska Native children, families, and communities.

The Institute for Intergovernmental Research provides technical assistance to Opioid Affected Youth Initiative grantees as they develop and implement effective, data-driven, and coordinated responses that address the abuse of opioids and other substances.

The National Mentoring Resource Center is a comprehensive and reliable resource for mentoring tools, program and training materials.

Through this program, National Children's Alliance will increase the number of children's advocacy center programs serving child/youth victims of sex trafficking and child pornography.

The National AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program provides training and technical assistance support to enhance the national AMBER Alert network.

This program enhances the effectiveness of the investigation and prosecution of child abuse by providing TTA to prosecutors and other child abuse multidisciplinary team members on trial advocacy, crime scene investigation, and advanced forensic interviewing.

The Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Training and Technical Assistance Program provides training and technical assistance to new and operational juvenile drug treatment courts to help them implement, monitor, and sustain effective practices for juveniles and their families.

The Resource Basket training and technical assistance center works to serve rural communities to support healthy, resilient, and culturally connected Alaska Native youth.

Under this project, the Northeast Regional Children's Advocacy Center provides training and technical assistance to develop and strengthen children's advocacy centers and multidisciplinary teams in the Northeast Region.

This project will support and enhance Native youth engagement, coordination, and action related to public safety issues, with a focus on juvenile justice and delinquency prevention in Indian country.
