This funding opportunity seeks to enhance and expand mentoring services for youth who are at risk or high risk for juvenile delinquency, victimization, and juvenile justice system involvement. The program's goal is to improve outcomes for at-risk and high-risk youth, and reduce negative outcomes through mentoring.

This funding opportunity seeks to build on OJJDP's history and leadership in mentoring by providing the mentoring field and practitioners with comprehensive resources and training materials on the OJJDP National Mentoring Resource Center website; convening an expert Research Board that reviews the evidence base for specific program models, populations, and outcomes; and providing training and technical assistance for OJJDP grantees.

OJJDP Observes National Mentoring Month

President Biden proclaimed January as National Mentoring Month, a nationwide observance honoring today's mentors and encouraging communities to engage in mentoring activities to ensure positive outcomes for youth.
