With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support high-quality arts programs for justice-involved youth to reduce juvenile delinquency, recidivism, and/or other problem and high-risk behaviors. This project seeks to support and strengthen collaborations between arts-based organizations and juvenile justice systems to develop, expand, or enhance effective interventions, which may involve emphasizing the unique capability of the art interventions to enhance protective factors and reduce risk factors that lead to justice system involvement, including individual characteristics, social influences, and community conditions.
