YOUth Are Worth It! Episode 4: Youth Are Worth Racial Justice
In celebration of Youth Justice Action Month (YJAM), the National Youth Justice Network and the Coalition for Juvenile Justice launched the "YOUth Are Worth It! YJAM 2024 Video Series."
This YJAM video series builds off of the work of the youth justice movement to re-envision what it means to create youth justice. In this episode, youth justice leaders and experts discuss the history and contemporary repercussions of systemic racial and ethnic disparities in the foundation of the youth legal system and the ways youth of color are viewed and disproportionately impacted.
The theme of this year's YJAM campaign, "YOUth Are Worth It" encompasses a shift toward investing in the full scope of community resources that young people need to thrive.
