On September 12, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET, the Department of Justice will convene the Federal Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention in Washington, DC. OJJDP has released "Delinquency Cases in Juvenile Court, 2016." This fact sheet presents statistics on delinquency cases handled in U.S. juvenile courts from 2005 to 2016. During the 12-year period, the number of delinquency cases involving juveniles declined 49 percent.
