With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding to communities to develop coordinated and comprehensive community-based approaches to help children and their families who are exposed to violence build resilience, restore their safety, heal their social and emotional wounds, and prevent future violence and delinquency.
With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding for the development and implementation of training and technical assistance for child abuse professionals for the purpose of promoting the effective delivery of the evidence-informed Children's Advocacy Center Model and the multidisciplinary response to child abuse.
This training held on November 16, 2022 provided professionals with information on what grooming is, how to recognize grooming behaviors, stages of grooming, a look at legislation regarding grooming across the US, and considerations and techniques for exploring dynamics of grooming and manipulation in the forensic interview.
