SHIFT: Supporting Heroes in Mental Health Foundational Training

Using OJJDP funds, the Innocent Justice Foundation (TIJF) will support the salary and benefits of the organization's executive director and an office manager. The executive director will be responsible for the continued coordination of consultants who deliver training to individuals who are repeatedly exposed to graphic images of child sexual abuse. Training will be delivered at national law enforcement conferences and on a regional basis with the goal of reaching up to 600 exposed individuals over the twelve month project period. The TIJF office manager will be responsible for the daily management of the organization, overseeing necessary updates to the agency web site, and insuring financial and administrative task are complete in furtherance of the program's goals and objectives. This project will deliver training to individuals who are repeatedly exposed to graphic images of child sexual abuse, including ICAC task force investigators and other members, prosecutors, judges and other child protection professionals. This training will focus on recognizing and managing the effects of exposure to child sexual abuse images and materials in order to maintain the mental health of the exposed individuals. The training will be delivered at national law enforcement conferences and on a regional basis. CA/NCF
