Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2002, $242,500)
Jefferson County will continue implementing the Youth Service Improvement Initiative for increasing institutional effectiveness in developing a model youth service delivery system. This phase of the project will establish participatory evaluation procedures, implement work process improvements, implement a performance measurement system, and institutionalize mechanisms for increasing cultural competence for all the components of the youth service system. The project will establish an evaluation plan, implement priority improvement projects, collaborate with community groups to assist in identifying diverse cultural needs and will develop a guidebook for implementation of system of change.
