Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2017, $6,000,000)

This program furthers the Department's mission by providing grants and cooperative agreements for training and technical assistance to organizations that OJJDP designates.

The purpose of the National Resource Center and Clearinghouse (NRCC), operated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children with these grant funds, is to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation; find missing children; and provide technical assistance/training to victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them per the Missing Children's Assistance Act (MCAA) 42 U.S.C. §§ 5771 et seq. The population served includes, but is not limited to, families, law-enforcement, court-system, social-service, childcare professionals; prosecutors; nonprofit-community agencies; and lawmakers.

This supplement of $6,000,000 is being funded through an interagency agreement between the United States Secret Service and OJJDP to support NCMEC activities consistent with their original award. NCA/NCF
