Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2002, $169,750)
The purpose of this program is to reduce juvenile delinquency in Kentucky by combining the best qualities of a 60-day wilderness/adventure program with five months of intensive aftercare services. The intended outcome is to ensure that probated youth complete the program and successfully re-integrate into their home, school and community with no further placements or court involvement. The program is a strength-based model founded on respect for self, respect for others and respect for one's environment. NCA/NCF
