The goal of the OJJDP FY24 Child Victimization and Juvenile Justice Prosecution Training and Technical Assistance Program is to improve the investigation and prosecution of cases of victimization and assault of children and youth while they are in the custody of the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. Specifically, the focus is on the adult staff victimization of children and youth while being held in detention and correctional facilities, as well as in other out of home placement settings such as treatment programs and group homes.

This program will provide TTA to prosecutors to strengthen their investigative strategies in these specialized cases, and to strengthen the capacity of prosecutors to carry out age appropriate, trauma informed investigations and prosecutions, with the goal of enhancing justice for all children and youth who have experienced abuse regardless of where and when that abuse occurred.

This webinar will provide a general overview of the program, the goals and objectives, a discussion about the application process, and a Q&A opportunity for participants.
