Child Homicide Investigations: January 22–23, 2022

This training by the National Criminal Justice Training Center will focus on understanding and building relationships between the forensic pathologist, homicide investigator, and prosecutor to successfully investigate and prosecute child homicide cases. Presentations will address unique aspects of these cases, including interviewing and interrogation, the development of a suspect pool, and the role and importance of the prosecutor in gaining appropriate convictions. Additional topics include autopsy protocols, forensic essentials, and the urgency of determining the cause and manner of death. The training will take place in San Diego, CA; registration information is available online.
