OJJDP has updated its Statistical Briefing Book (SBB) to include the National Racial and Ethnic Disparities (R/ED) Databook.
This data tool presents a national picture of racial and ethnic disparity in the juvenile justice system. The data book describes how racial and ethnic disparities are measured and identifies at which decision points in the system the greatest disparities exist. An important resource for the youth justice field, the data book provides a national benchmark against which local data can be compared, helping jurisdictions determine where to focus their efforts.
Developed for OJJDP by the National Center for Juvenile Justice, the research division of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, SBB offers easy online access to statistics on a variety of juvenile justice topics.
