Each year, the U.S. Department of Justice, through OJJDP, honors the extraordinary efforts of individuals, organizations, and agencies that have made a significant contribution to protecting children.
OJJDP is seeking nominations for awardees to be recognized at the 39th annual National Missing Children's Day ceremony in Washington, DC on May 25, 2022. The exemplary actions of the individual or organization nominated must have taken place between November 21, 2020, and November 19, 2021.
Nominations are being accepted for the following awards:
- Missing Children's Law Enforcement Award
- Missing Children's Citizen Award
- Missing Children's Child Protection Award
- Attorney General's Special Commendation
The deadline for nomination submission is November 19, 2021.
