New Resources Offer Trauma-Informed Approaches to Child-Parent Visitation

OJJDP, in collaboration with the American Institutes for Research, has developed a new video and discussion guide for corrections staff and volunteers to integrate trauma-informed approaches during child-parent visits.

The guide suggests ways to create a healthy environment that promotes safety, healing, and growth. The resources can be used to supplement professional development or organizational capacity-building.
