Biden-Harris Administration Launches First Paid White House Internship Program

JUVJUST - Executive Office of the President of the United States

Recently, President Biden and Vice President Harris announced the launch of the first paid White House Internship Program.

Unpaid federal internships have been a barrier to equal opportunity for students and professionals, keeping them from accessing opportunities to advance their federal careers. This significant milestone of paying interns will ensure White House internships are more accessible to lower-income students and first-generation professionals. This program will also ensure that White House interns—who will be a significant part of the leadership pipeline across the entire federal government—reflect the country's diversity.

The White House Internship Program is a public service leadership and development program that provides emerging leaders an opportunity to gain valuable skills while supporting the White House and advancing the priorities of the Biden-Harris Administration.

The first paid session of the White House Internship Program will be a 14-week program beginning in fall 2022. The application period ends June 24
