Learning Lessons from the School Attack that Didn’t Happen Webinar
In this webinar, OJJDP, in collaboration with the Police Foundation, provided an overview of the database that the Police Foundation has developed and uses to share information on both averted and completed acts of school violence. Presenters will also discuss training in schools to identify behavior that can lead to violence.
The Police Foundation (PF) provides an overview of the COPS and NIJ-funded Averted School Violence (ASV) database, with preliminary study key findings and recommendations on averted school violence, and an overview of training provided in schools to help students and teachers identify and address concerning student behavior that can lead to violence.
