This Resource Guide provides materials that can be used in planning and conducting activities for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, which will be held April 24-30. 2022, under the theme of “Rights, access, equity, for all victims.”
This theme emphasizes the importance of helping crime survivors find justice through the enforcement of victims’ rights, expanding access to services, and ensuring equity and inclusion for all.” These resources for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week are provided by the U.S. Justice Department’s Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). They contain an array of outreach tools and sample materials for traditional and social media, a history of the crime victims’ rights movement, and original artwork intended to unite this national effort. Two videos examine the range of needs faced by crime victims, with a focus on how failure to meet those needs magnifies the impact of crime. Other resources focus on developing a campaign for and planning and implementing ways to communicate the week’s theme message.
