Description

This funding opportunity seeks to support training and technical assistance to state courts, local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Tribal governments that will build their capacity to develop, maintain, and enhance family treatment courts (FTCs) to more effectively address the needs of parents, children, and families affected by a substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorder. Additionally, the funding aims to enhance access to evidence-based prevention and treatment services as communities develop and implement coordinated substance use intervention programs.

Goal 1: Support FTC practitioners to develop, maintain, and enhance FTCs to more effectively address the needs of families and their children affected by a substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorder who are also involved in the child welfare system.

Goal 2: Help FTCs improve service delivery and build sustainable capacity by creating opportunities for peer-to-peer connection.
