Using OJJDP funds, The State of Oregon intends to utilize the reallocated funds to increase the capacity to meet and monitor compliance with the PREAs requirements. The funds will support training associated expenses for the Youth Development Councils Federal Compliance Monitor to obtain the certification of a PREA auditor. The funds will also support the consequent technical assistance and consultation to local jurisdictions aimed at reaching and maintaining compliance with the PREA standards. The State of Oregon also intends to support training on PREA requirements related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and gender nonconforming inmates and youth in custody.
