Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2012, $700,124)
The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) will continue to pass-through ninety five percent (95%) of the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) funds to local units of government. Local jurisdictions programming must be consistent with one or more of the 17 purpose areas to reduce juvenile offending and strengthen the juvenile justice system. More specifically, individual agencies are required to describe the problem the program will address, the program's overall goal, a description of how the program will accomplish its goals, the activities and services planned, and the manner in which they will collect and provide data to the PCCD, consistent with the performance measures required by OJJDP, and their proposed operating budget. Each agency is required to report the appropriate performance measures quarterly through the PCCD's electronic grant management system, E-grants.PCCD will encourage applicants to focus their efforts on the following purpose areas:
(4) Prosecutors (staffing);(5) Prosecutors (funding);(7) Juvenile Gun Courts;(13) School Safety;(17) Aftercare/Re-entry NCA/NCF
