The Title V Community Prevention Grants Program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
The State of Rhode Island plans to fund one continuation sub-grantee program based on applicant's adherence to evidence based projects along with localities adherence to federal mandates. The program will address risk and protective factors in an effort to prevent youth from becoming involved in the juvenile justice system.
