Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $300,000)

The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.

The Missouri Department of Public Safety will utilize the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Grant to implement programs across the state that focus on preventing and combating underage drinking. Funds will be awarded to law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Missouri to support program(s) in the following four categories: Retail Compliance Checks; Bar Patrols; Party Prevention and Controlled Party Dispersal Initiatives; and Special Events Management Operations.
