ICAC Task Force National Training - NW3C Digital Evidence Forensics

Using OJJDP funds, the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) will deliver training programs for law enforcement and other stakeholders to improve investigative, prosecutorial, and forensic capabilities; create and distribute guidelines, best practices, and investigative methodologies; and coordinate meetings with grantees and practitioners. Specifically, NW3C will deliver six Fast Track computer forensic trainings (comprised of three classes each) and 12 individual advanced classes from a list of five courses, to ICAC Task Forces, for a total of 30 classes with up to 900 student seats available. NW3C will utilize the existing ICAC/Fox Valley registration system while utilizing established NW3C evaluation methodologies, including pre- and post-testing assessment, to measure and report progress to Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).

This project will deliver training to Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces by expanding and enhancing the computer forensic and digital device investigation knowledge base. NW3C will deliver training programs focused on digital evidence forensics for law enforcement and other stakeholders to improve investigative, prosecutorial, and forensic capabilities; create and distribute guidelines, best practices, and investigative methodologies; and coordinate responsive meetings with grantees and practitioners. NW3C will employ established NW3C evaluation methodologies, including pre- and post-class testing assessments, to measure and report progress to OJJDP. CA/NCF
