Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $299,903)
This follow-up survey of the NATSCEV cohort 1 will be conducted approximately 2 years after the baseline interview to obtain longitudinal data on a nationally representative sample of 4,549 children and youth age 0-17. This study will permit an assessment of within-person changes in victimization exposure over time. These longitudinal data will also allow a better understanding of causal processes involving the antecedents and consequences of childhood victimization and the potential confounding, mediating, and buffering effects of a variety of contextual factors.
