Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $300,000)

The OJJDP FY 10 Earmarks Program furthers the Department's mission by providing grants, cooperative agreements, and other assistance authorized by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, to organizations identified in the Conference Report to accompany the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-117), H.R. Conf. Rep. No. 111-366 at 702-714.

The Childhelp River Bridge Center (CRB) proposes to address victimization by supporting effective programs and services in Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, and Rio Blanco Counties. Funding will be used to provide regional trainings, conduct a community assessment, develop a region-wide strategic plan, and expanding current child advocacy services throughout the region. Progress will be measured on a quarterly basis by documenting trainings, community assessment meetings, participant satisfaction with the completion of a regional strategic plan, and by tracking the number of children and their families served with child advocacy center services.
