Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $360,000)

The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.

The Florida EUDL project proposes to use youth leadership to change alcohol policies and practices by funding six communities to implement a youth mobilization project aimed at building local level youth leadership corps that will implement evidence based strategies to change local enforcement practices and policies.
