Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $268,305)

World Impact's ongoing program will be expanded through this proposal, which will operate approximately one year from inception to completion. The expanded program will serve elementary and junior high school youth (grades 1-8) in inner-city St. Louis through a variety of weekly activities, including sports and recreation, tutoring, and special events. Progress will be measured by number of youth served, number of program hours, decreases in disciplinary measures, and academic improvement. Worold Impact's goals are to: 1) work with 125 students in the elementary youth program and 2) work with 75 students in the junior high youth program.
