Teen Dating Violence Institute

The Teen Dating Violence Institute will take a preventive 'train the trainer' approach to dating violence utilizing the students themselves as peer educators in their high schools on teen dating violence, statutory rape, date rape, stalking and other sexual crimes. The Teen Dating Violence Institute will seek to empower the teen educators, and in turn their peers to take a leadership role in the fight against dating violence in their schools and communities; to advocate for change in their school settings and community in order to make victims safe and hold offenders accountable; and to inform students of their rights, the legal recourse victims can seek and other available services.
