Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $49,361)
The Community Outreach for Family and Youth (C.O.F.Y) Center provides educational and recreational resources to improve the quality of life in the community. This project seeks to involve the community and develop programs to address and reduce juvenile criminal activity. The goal of this grant planning project is to facilitate programs through C.O.F.Y. in collaboration with other agencies to reduce the number of criminal offenses committed by juveniles. The performance measures for the project will be determined by social services, law enforcement and community organization surveys and attendance analysis and levels of involvement will be used to measure neighborhood and community-level interest in the program.
