GoGirlGo! is a program designed to use sport/physical activity programs to educate girls about the avoidance of health-risk behaviors and the importance of maintaining a healthy active lifestyle. GoGirlGo!San Antonio and Kansas City Initiatives have three major components: cash grants for lower income/underserved girls to participate in sports or physical activity programming, a curriculum to cahange girls' attitudes toward physical inactivity and other risky behaviors that can lead to juvenile deliquency, and outreach to community program providers to educate them about the importance of girls' participation in sports and provide tools for getting girls active. The primary goal of this program is to get girls ages 8-18 physically active and prevent risky health behaviors and juvenile delinquency. This program will evaluate the number of youth served who successfully complete programs, number of youth who offend, and changes in target behaviors. NCA/NCF
