The American Camp Association-New York will implement and evaluate an Anti-Gang Empowerment Program (SAGE).that targets 11-13 year old youth in Congressional District 3 of Long Island, New York. The primary goal is to assess and provide for the needs of campers in high risk communities through the provision a two-week summer camp experience followed by monthly group and individual meetings within the community. Project activities will focus on five skill and personal trait areas: 1) self-esteem; 2) personal responsibility; 3) value formation; 4) conflict resolution; and 5) positive relationships.NCA/NCF
