This award will support the work of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) for case services involving all international, child-abduction cases, including those under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Hague Convention). This request is responsive to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) initiative which resulted in the tri-party Agreement, Cooperative Agreement signed in March 2005, among the U.S. Department of Justice's (DoJ) Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the U.S. Department of State, and NCMEC. This request is for the addition of $100,000 to continue providing victim travel in international reunification cases NCA/NCF
The purpose of the National Resource Center and Clearinghouse (NRCC) is to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation; find missing children; and provide technical assistance/training to victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them per the Missing Children's Assistance Act (MCAA) 42 U.S.C. §§ 5771 et seq. The population served includes, but is not limited to, families; law-enforcement, court-system, social-service, childcare professionals; prosecutors; nonprofit-community agencies; and lawmakers.NCA/NCF
