To expand Arts-in-Education programs for at-risk youth, provide dance scholarships, professional development and after school classes in Sunset Park.

The Young Dancers in Repertory (YDR) will provide artistic and educational programming to over 2,000 youth (ages 2 through 18) in the culturally underserved South Brooklyn community of Sunset Park. The primary goals of the Young Dancers in Repertory programming are to offer youth a safe environment to express their creativity; to encourage youth to develop consistent and positive relationships with adults and peers; to promote a healthy, active lifestyle; and to build a greater sense of community. Program strategy will include offering activities through the Center for Dance Studies; in-school, after-school and parks programs; Arts-in-Education programs; professional development for teachers; and a touring ensemble.
