Project Focus - Specialized instruction and counseling for delinquent and at-risk students

The Secaucus Board of Education will implement an alternative school placement for administratively suspended students in grades 7th thru 12th grades. Project Focus will provide 15 to 20 students, who have serious breaches of school disciple or have established a pattern of inappropriate behavior, with special education and counseling services in a small classroom setting. The goals of the program will be to reduce delinquent behavior, improve academic performance and increased self esteem. The Secaucus Board of Education will conduct surveys to measure self esteem and compare behavior reports pre and post participation in the program.NCA/NCF
