Youth at Risk technology Access, community devlopment and Entrepreneurship Project

Soundview Community in Action will provide at risk youth and families living in the Bronx River area of the Bronx, NY with social services, increased educational support, employment training and economic development thru computer training, job development and entrepreneurial workshops and courses with the goal of reducing youth exposure to drugs, alcohol and negative community activities. The project will train the participants in a technology center on basic Microsoft office applications. Additionally, Soundview will instruct participants in resume preparation and other job preparation skills and provide internet availability to youth and families to enhance their computer literacy and learning. Soundview will report performance measures that include improved client satisfaction, the number of business plans developed and the increased job preparation skills attained.NCA/NCF
