Project Summary for 2000 JN-FX 0049 (S-2)

Prime Time of Morgan County, Inc. is a local coordinating council affiliate of the Governor's Commission for a Drug Free Indiana. The intent is to lower the substance abuse rates among Morgan County youth that continue to remain higher than most state and national averages. The council develops community partnerships and programs designed to address identified risk factors, strengthen protective factors, and grow the asset base of youth grades 3 through 10. The following goals have been identified: raise public awareness about the continuing youth ATOD use; educate and motivate adults to become active partners with youth building protective assets; stimulate and develop prevention control projects and activities; expand existing after-school drug prevention programs; and provide new services to under-served youth.
