The state of Connecticut has chosen to rejoin the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in their mission to ensure children are treated as children and that this attribute is a key consideration when determining how to respond. Connecticut's OJJDP FY25 State Delinquency Prevention Grants Program will support the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) core requirements with sight and sound separation, deinstitutionalization of status offenders, and removal of juveniles from adult jails.
