11th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Drug Court Enhancement

The City of Florence seeks funding to enhance the existing Lauderdale County Juvenile Treatment Court program for Florence, Alabama youth by providing enhanced and expanded services to justice-involved youth through court interaction and supervision, mandatory drug testing and medication monitoring, substance use or co-occuring disorder (COD) treatment, and prosocial family engagement activities. The goals of the project are to: (1) expand adolescent treatment services; (2) hire a coordinator; (3) provide training related to best practices and evidence-based programs; (4) facilitate evidence-based life skill classes for participants and engagement activities; (5) expand access to evidence-based substance use and/or COD treatment for equine therapy, and trauma evaluations; (6) implement a mentoring program; (7) monitor and evaluate the family treatment court program for fidelity and accountability.
