The San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SDICAC) has become an established part of the San Diego County law enforcement community. SDICAC has brought an effective combination of computer technology and investigative expertise to bear on problems related to the on-line exploitation of children. The SDICAC continues to meet the ICAC Program’s Mission and expand in its geographical service area and now has signed MOU’s with ICAC Affiliate agencies in San Diego, Imperial, and Riverside counties, in addition to Federal Bureau of Investigation, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, U.S. Marshals, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Menifee Police Department and the Murrieta Police Department. The 2024 ICAC Task Force Grant will allow the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to continue their work and aid in increasing regional staffing levels, training, public education, expertise and responsiveness to investigate child sexual abuse cases facilitated by the internet.
