Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $500,000)

The Clackamas County proposes to extend the pilot program: Clackamas School Based Behavioral Health and Substance Use Juvenile Justice Prevention Program for an additional two years with the intension of collecting additional data on the promising results. The purpose is continue and if possible expand a pilot program for high school and middle school students designed to prevent substance use, improve their well-being, keep the community safe, and collect additional data. Expected outcomes include expanded access to mental health services, enhanced community connection, increased family engagement, reduced drug and alcohol use and the prevention of juvenile justice involvement.
