The St. Charles County (MO) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force will continue to maintain, expand, and improve the Missouri ICAC Task Force's effectiveness in preventing, interdicting, investigating, and prosecuting Internet crimes against children and technology-facilitated child exploitation. They will provide educational programs aimed at law enforcement officers, teachers, parents, and children; serve as a resource to law enforcement agencies for both investigations and forensic examinations; assist as needed with the prosecution of cases at the appropriate level; and participate in nationally-coordinated investigations. More specifically, the Task Force will work to: increase the number of both proactive and reactive investigations; increase the number of forensic examinations; increase the number of referrals received from other ICAC Task Forces and federal partners; increase the capabilities of the Missouri ICAC Task Force agencies in the investigation of technology-facilitated crimes against children; enhance the Missouri ICAC Task Force's effectiveness in preventing these types of offenses; and formalize law enforcement partnerships through written agreements.
