Girls Training and Technical Assistance

The purpose of this supplemental award is to expand training and technical assistance (TTA) to all project site cohorts of the Reducing Risk for Girls in the Juvenile Justice program. The TTA grantee team understands the goal of the award is to reduce risk factors and promote protective factors for girls who are at risk or who come in contact with the juvenile justice system, and place them on a path toward success, stability, and long-term contribution to society. To achieve this goal, the team’s objectives are to 1) Expand the skills of program providers and other stakeholders working with the target population of girls who are at risk or are in the juvenile justice system and 2) Assist program providers with improving juvenile justice system responses for girls in contact with the system. TTA activities will include the development of customized strategic plans for project grantee sites from 2020, 2021, 2022 and those selected in 2023 for the provision of virtual and in-person training and technical assistance; development and dissemination of resources on girls; and other forms of TTA such as Peer-to-Peer Learning, Webinars, etc.
