Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $120,000)

Through their Outreach and Tracking program and Youth Transition Center (YTC), Tide Family Services will service at-risk youth age throughout the State of Rhode Island. The Outreach and Tracking Program is a community-based, intensive supervision program with a goal of family preservation and school completion with youth ages 6 to 18 and families involved with probation. The YTC program is a unique collaboration between Tides, the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Rhode Island Training School for male and female youth, aged 13 to 19. The YTC will help youth to prepare for release from the Rhode Island Training School and to meet the conditions of their probation, emphasizing responsibility and prevention strategies to avoid re-entry into the Juvenile Justice system.
