Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $653,757)
The Rankin County Family Drug Treatment Court (FDTC) proposes to enhance its existing Family Treatment Court program through (1) the hiring of new staff to expand existing case management for additional participants as well as the inclusion of assessment, intervention and treatment services for participants’ families, identification and assessment of potential participants for intake into the program as well as provide resource linkage for potential participants who are not eligible for the program but who nonetheless need services; (2) training related to best practices and evidence-based programs beneficial to the FDTC Program; (3) facilitating of parenting and life skill classes for participants and their families to support prosocial family engagement activities; (4) expanding access to evidence-based substance use and/or co-occurring disorder (COD) treatment for participants and their families; (5) prioritization of personal and family wellness by providing access to funding for wellness services including wellness, STD/HIV testing, dental and vision check-ups and other wellness services; and (6) monitoring and evaluation of the FDTC program for fidelity and accountability.
