Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $522,171)

The Massachusetts State Police (MSP), Massachusetts ICAC Task Force will continue to investigate computer-related crimes committed against children by enhancing investigative responses to technology-facilitated crimes by offenders using the internet and other technologies.  The primary goal of the Task Force will be to expand the quantity and quality of detection, investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of electronic technology-facilitated crimes against children.  MSP will maintain, improve, and expand the Massachusetts ICAC Task Force to prevent, interdict, investigate, and prosecute Internet crimes against children and technology-facilitated child exploitation by increasing the number of investigations, expanding the number of affiliate agencies, providing specialized training to task force members, and increasing the use of the mobile forensic vehicle.  Progress will be measured through monthly and semi-annual reports as required by the Office of Justice Programs, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).
