Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $750,000)
In collaboration, Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR), the Alabama Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Administrative Office of Courts (AOC), the Alabama Unified Judicial System proposes a statewide Juvenile Drug Treatment Court (JDTC) expansion project to enhance treatment services to seven JDTCs; provide educational/vocational training for JDTC participants; reduce the number of JDTC participants that recidivate; provide trainings for JDTC personnel and teams; and evaluate and monitor the JDTC for fidelity and accountability.
